I’ve said before that if there’s any downside to photographing weddings it’s that I often only get one chance to work with my favorite couples. In the past, I’ve sent my couples to a few of my talented friends for newborn and family photos. But after I photographed Kelli and Ryan with their dog, Leslie Knope, I told them that if there were any more additions I’d be happy to work with them again. I mean, after I’ve photographed the engagement, the wedding and the dog, it seemed only appropriate!
Fast forward to a few months ago when Kelli reached out to let me know that she and Ryan were expecting. I was glad that they thought of me but I was still a little nervous about shooting my first real “newborn session.” Any doubts I had though, were quickly erased when I saw the portraits on the wall in the nursery! Thanks again Ryan and Kelli for continuing to trust me to document your growing family, it was an honor to meet Samantha Lee!
