I traveled to Grand Rapids in my home state of Michigan for Ali & Hutton’s wedding day. It’s hard to find time to get to Michigan and see family during the busy wedding season, so it’s great when my work takes me there.
I started the day at the Parlour salon with Ali for hair and makeup and then joined the rest of the ladies upstairs at City Flats Hotel. Meanwhile Justin got to hang it with Hutton and the guys while they played Cards Against Humanity and got ready at the church.
Ali & Hutton were married at United Methodist Church in Grandville, Mich. They exited the church to everyone blowing bubbles and we headed to downtown Grand Rapids for wedding portraits.
The ballroom at City Flats Hotel was an amazing reception venue. The red and blue uplighting made the details in the ceiling and arches even more remarkable. Ali’s dad shared some really funny stories and Ali & Hutton shared first dances with their dad and mom. What a great party and day! Thanks for letting us document it!
