Ashley & Jason were married at Holy Name Cathedral in Chicago, the city’s second oldest Catholic church.
I had a blast hanging out with Ashley and her friends and family while they got ready at theWit Hotel. I always love hotels for morning preparations, but I think there’s something extra special about the light at theWit. Thomas Pham helped me out by covering Jason while he got ready.
After the ceremony, we traveled to Adler Planetarium for portraits with the bridal party. After a quick stop in the middle of Michigan Ave., we headed to LaSalle Street Bridge. Ashley volunteered to have her and Jason climb atop the metal trussing. I’m glad she did, because that put them perfectly in the golden light.
At Maggiano’s we heard some really funny and touching toasts. I loved the ring that Jason’s brother presented to Ashley. The first dances were really sweet, and Jason definitely boogied down with his mom!
It was great documenting Ashley & Jason’s wedding. Such a fun group!
